Aztec inspiration

Hello you :) how's it going? Well first of all I would like to clarify that this is not an Ego post!! I just wanted someone to take photos of my outfit today. Unfortunately no one was at home to make me that favour, so to demonstrate myself that I'm independent enough to carry out anything I want, I looked for some place to let the camera catch the whole body (and believe me I nearly become crazy!!). And well, it was not the perfect situation but damn it, I like it either way :)

The dress it's my new treausure, lately I kinda like aztec, and when I found this beautiful thing I thought 'Come on Sonja, it's crying to get your hand' :) And about my sandals...well they're a summery comfy shoes with a wonderful design..
Both things from Primark...incredible, isn't it?

Summer times

After a while without any outfit pics, here I come with some I took last summer. It was a lovely day when my boyfriend, some chinese girls and I went for a walk in the capital and there we found some surreal situations which took us back to the 60's...
About what I was wearing...I can say this white dress from Mango is the most comfortable dress I've ever tried! The handbag is mummy's...:)

Mr Money

My last drawing. Not sure why I drew this, perhaps had in mind one of the Mary Poppins scenes ... who knows!
Do you like it? :)

Help us to Help

One thing I've noticed is that in this life no one is untouchable. If you want peace you must be prepared for war. I think there is a very thin dividing line between having a job and personal security and not have it at all. Today you have your family and friends around you, you have a salary that lets you live each day and occasionally have a few whims, but suddenly it happens that one day things go wrong, and like a domino, the pieces start to fall. Let's put ourselves in the worst case, imagine, you lose your job, you have a high mortgage to pay, you have a family to support, you have friends that help you but gradually move away because they also have many burdens to face. Imagine that the slump becomes routine and suddenly, you have nothing in life. You're a poor person in a world full of candy and treats that you can not have.
There are many people in this situation in Spain, even more than we can imagine. Every day when I get home from work, I meet people on the train asking for help with much desperation. It shrinks my heart to see people in that state, and they are people like all of us, who have seen their lifes twisted for whatever reason and have found no light at the end of the road.
So, making a break on the subject of other entries, today I bring you something really important. Alejandro Toledo, a very wellknown professional of the same world I devote myself, Advertising, wanted to portray just that, a lack of that many families by the crisis. The so-called modern poverty represented by a white bear in his daughter's hands.
As Alejandro puts as the ad claim:  "Help us to help" with Caritas, which for me is the best NGO ever. Enjoy the video, it's really worth seeing.

Edward and his Scissors Hands

There are days when you feel a little misunderstood, or perhaps you feel the world is not on your side. Your sensitivity cause excitement for anything. Edward, star of the film by Tim Burton, is a fictional character who embodies all those feelings I describe above. Edward Scissorhands marked my life. My favorite movie without any doubt. In this outfit I'm showing the tshirt I bought in Soho, in my trip to New York. I got in love with it and I didn't hesitate to take it home with me.

Marina is a diamond

Marina Lambrini Diamandis, better known as Marina & The Diamonds, was born in 1985 in Abergavenny, Wales, UK.
Her father is Greek and her mother is Welsh. She was brought up in the village of Pandy with her parents and her older sister. When her parents separated, Marina moved to Greece when she was sixteen years old to live with her father but returned to Wales two years later.
At the age of 18 she leaves the University in search of her dream; a music career. But it's not until 2008, when Derek Davies discovers her voice and trust her. Finally in 2009, Marina finds success with I'm not a robot.
Vocalist of a style that could rank among the indie pop, new wave, and in his latest work, electronics. She has cited a wide-range of influences such as Daniel Johnston, Blondie, The Distillers, Patti Smith, Tom Waits, Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Kate Bush, Britney Spears, Yann Tiersen, Elliott Smith, Dolly Parton and Madonna.
Here her amazing discography:
Studio albums
2010: The Family Jewels
2012: Electra Heart
Extended plays
2007: Mermaid vs. Sailor EP
2009: The Crown Jewels EP
2010: The American Jewels EP

For me, Marina & The Diamonds has been a light in the way of musical darkness that surrounded me lately. A voice and a spirit like no other. I love her too much because talents as hers are those who wake up hope.

Bilbao Vol I

I've spent most of my Easter holidays in Bilbao. On Thursday I packed some clothes and me & my family took route to the north of Spain. Bilbao seemed a little far and a little strange in my thoughts (I blame all those prejudices that media sometimes create in our minds). Bilbao is one of my favourite cities in Spain, I fully recommend to visit it, as it's so so beautiful I just can't tell with words!!
To my surprise, my mother told me that my granny was living there for 11 years!! so it makes me think about the destiny..may I be living there at some stage? I hope so, because Bilbao is amazing, the food, the people, the buildings, the mountain, the sea, the atmosphere...<3
Oh BILBO GUSTATZEN!
